Why is theatre an ideal form through which to channel training?
Theatre is by definition a team building process: a market is determined, a team put together, a product created with an ultimate product presented to customers. The factors that lead to the effective creation and presentation of theatre include professional practice, product knowledge, creativity, instinct, daring, innovation and above all a sense of community. In September 2001 after just 12 months in consultancy, the company was nominated as Best in Category in the Financial Times/Arts and Business Corporate Training Awards for its work in creating a new corporate vision for the merger of NPI, Pearl Assurance and London Life to create AMP UK in Peterborough. Nominated again in 2005 and 2006 Menagerie won the Employee Training of the Year Award for work with Liverpool Football Club
In October 2002 the company won the Anglia TV, EEDA, Arts Council Award for Best Creative Business
Director Paul Bourne is a Fellow in Leadership and Change Management at the Ashcroft International Business School, Cambridge. All of the facilitators are actors, directors, writers and designers with extensive corporate knowledge. Our bespoke creative work has been seen all over the world including India, China, United States, Dubai, Germany and France!
