Menagerie Theatre Company
Menagerie Theatre Company is the leading independent new writing theatre company in the East of England. Based in Cambridge, we have been creating theatre for over ten years and have a regional, national and international reputation for the development of first class new writing for the stage. We seek out and support talented writers in order to develop and produce innovative new theatre. As well as touring widely, we run workshops, writer development courses and produce the annual Hotbed Festival in Cambridge.
The Ideas Stage
The Ideas Stage is a new initiative from Menagerie. Its core work is to collaborate with academics to use theatre as a tool for the dissemination of research findings to stakeholders, colleagues and the public. More information

Young Writers Workshop Spring 2014
Our highly successful workshop for young writers starts up again in January 2014. With opportunities to work with professional playwrights, to focus on your craft and to see your work staged at Hotbed 2014, the workshop is an important stepping stone for young writers. If you are 16 – 25, passionate about theatre and living in the East of England, the Young Writers Workshop is for you. There will be just 12 places available and applications close 6 December.
