Working alongside the community

Menagerie has always maintained strong creative links to people in Cambridge. We have run long-term projects in Abbey and Trumpington, we’ve collaborated with other arts organisations on the ‘Activate’ project at Coleridge Community College and currently work with Cambridge Community Arts on the ‘Acting Up!’ project. Take a look at the archive for full details of our recent projects.

All community projects are led by Patrick Morris and you can contact him on email at patrick@menagerie.uk.com

Acting Up

Acting Up was a project supporting adults who have experienced mental health challenges, in collaboration with Cambridge Community Arts. We have designed a pilot for an advanced drama course for adults looking to create stepping stones back to work, training and/or education.

All participants had previously graduated from CCA Drama courses. Workshops took place twice a week in September and October 2022, in Cambridge, culminating in a performance of an original piece, ‘Cracked’ at Cambridge Junction.

The project was led by Patrick Morris and Caroline Rippin, with support from actor Ollie West.
